It all begins on Saturday, November 12th in Los Angeles. CCS is loading up the van with Arto Saari, Geoff Rowley, David Gonzalez, Ben Nordberg, Louie Lopez, and Oscar Meza and hitting Stoner Park in Los Angeles at 1PM. Then it’s on to the Westchester Skate Plaza in LA for a 3 o’clock shred fest.
There will be giveaways and a $100.00 CCS GIFT CARD winner takes all best trick contest, at each stop.
Featuring the Flip team and special appearances by Christian Hosoi, Steve Caballero, Motorhead and Doug E Fresh. Basically a re-cap of this year’s summer. Members of the Academy of Skateboard Filmmakers, Geoff Rowley, Craig Stecyk and Grant Brittain introduce the International Skateboard Film Festival. The festival is taking place in Los Angeles, with public screenings in Long Beach and Downtown LA. This year the International Skateboard Film Festival is back and will be having screenings in both Los Angeles and Long Beach, CA sponsored by Vans & RVCA. This is the world’s only international skateboarding film festival and will definitely be worth checking out. Last year Extremely Sorry won the Best U.S. Film Award and Baron won Best Soundtrack for scoring the music to Extremely Sorry at the LA Skate Film Festival. This year’s International Skateboard Film Festival will feature the similar award categories and some additional awards, including Best Photography, Best Editing, Best Original Screenplay and Best Classic.
The festival film screenings are open to the public and film submissions are open May 1st – July 31st to all filmmakers around the globe.
