Everyone who had been to Berlin before was more than happy to be back again…
So aside from being skateboarding’s scene capital right now, Berlin is also host to the biggest skateboarding tradeshow in Europe…
And so to the now- famous London demo: we were hoping to do a demo at Bay 66 last year, but at the time it was being redeveloped…
To round off the tour we went to Hackney in East London to some ‘Kev Parrott’ spots and then headed up to Milton Keynes where Rob Selley was kind enough…
After a good night’s rest for some, but not for those who went to the boat party on the river by the hotel, we headed off to Jena which was formerly in the old East Germany.
This past summer Flip Skateboards went on a trip to Europe where we toured in Germany and England. The tour covered all bases with street, demos and a contest all part of it.
Part 2 coming in October.
The battle is over. Red Bull Bomb The Line 2013 crowned the new king of the famous Baustelle of Berlin. Alec Majerus won the world’s only best-line-skate-contest at one of the best European streetspots with an incredible line. The formula of Red Bull “Bomb the Line” stays true to last year’s successful principle: Every skater has to clear the famous double-set, a kicker gap and the eight-stair with the rail at the end of the Baustelle in one single line.
6,000 spectators came out to celebrate skateboarding together with the 50 top skateboarders from all over the world for five hours. At the end, Alec Majerus, Manny Santiago and Youness Amrani stood on the winners’ podium while Mark Frölich as the best German starter made the sixth place.

Alec Majeurs just placed 1st at this year’s Tampa Am. He can skate contests with confidence and can also throw down in the streets. After having back-to-back ankle surgery, Alec still continues to push his skateboarding limits. Check out what Geoff has to say about Alec in Skateboarder Magazine‘s Who’s Hot Video.
Alec Majerus wins Tampa Am 2012. Taking out around 300 other competitors, Alec came in first place to win the best Am contest of them all. Congrats to Alec and thanks to the crew at SPOT for another incredible event!
